| Where would I get new vintage Honda brakes?July 30 2012 at 1:07 PM | rex (Login thestinkiestbob) | |
| After about 15 years my Yamaha YDS7 front wheel finally ran out of brakes and I found an old 1965-ish Honda Black Bomber brake hub in the lockup that had good shoes in it which just happened to fit the Yamaha wheel. That's what I'm using now.
At some point in the future I may need brakes shoes again, so I can choose between the Honda ones or the Yamaha ones.
I already know about the Yambits website and they list Yamaha TLS brake shoes for like £20 (if in fact they aren't just lying and don't actually HAVE any of those brake shoes in stock which is the more standard business practice from UK parts houses).
But I can't find the UK Honda equivalent for brake shoes for an old Black Bomber hub. Anybody know who does parts for old 1960's Hondas? Or just some generic brake shoes supplier that can do either of these brakes? The shoes themselves aren't interchangeable with the hubs so they need to be Honda or Yamaha specific.
