Response to you know that NOBODY but the most old-fashioned shops keep stock of parts anymore?
Because I don't pay shop prices for internet service.
If someone offers to "Order it in" I tell them "Nah, you're alright, I can do that myself." and leave their shop without having bought anything.
They are actually just bone-idle lazy fuckers a lot of the time.
I went into my local Honda dealers last weekend to buy a couple of exhaust gaskets. I went in armed with the dimensions and Honda part number. Now this is the copper crush gasket that is fitted to pretty much every Honda made in the last 30 years and I absolutely garauntee that they carry this part in stock, it's a consumable and they need to have them to-hand to work on the bikes that come in for a service.
He flat out told me they didn't have one when I asked. Didn't even bother checking.
Mind you, this is the same main dealer that had to use an angle grinder to take some links out of a chain for me when I broke down near thembecause they didn't have a chain tool anywhere in the workshop.
I wont bother going back there again.
