For the money the parents paid to the coach and the disappointing results in the AP earlybird, could be another long year under BD.

Re: toronto titans

If you look at Ben's record over the last few years he has never done well because he has never picked the best possible players. He'll only sign those players who commit and are willing to spend the bucks on his dryland services. The price he is charging this year is unreal-little value for the money. A recent University of Alberta study done over a 26 year period analyzing the success of hockey teams proved that the overriding factor for success was the gelling of talented hockey players as a cohesive group-not the team with the best conditioning. It further stated that while all successful teams have players in shape, they need to be, there were many cases in the study where teams with better conditioning programs were beaten by teams with inferior conditioning programs. Besides the cohesiveness of a team, the selection of players was paramount.

stop talking about ben davis he has put great teams together and a great bunch of kids also together if you see his eams work it all pays off because of his conditioning

the all mighty kings aren't as good as they think, thats all. Titans worked hard, were up 3-2 and got an empty netter

Kings and Wings are the teams to beat. Titans work hard and that keeps you in the game and give you a chance to win which they did.

the team is good but the only reason they are in games, is because of the goalies .. (gallo and chemello)

Wings and Nats are the teams to beat. Both can and will be beaten by lower teams at some point. Nice to see some parity at the '92 age group.

24.44 that is a funny statement, the team is good but...but what? Last I recall goalies are part of the team so whats your point? This is a team game and if you have decen't goalis that can steal 1 in 5 games for you it's a bonus don't put your team mates down. By the sounds of it you might be the cancer type of parent that can destroy a good thing.
Good luck Titans keep working hard.

What a stupid comment to make. Someone posts that the goalies are winning games or carrying the team and now the parent is a cancer. So stupid.

Big Nickel This team piled up 114 mins of penalties in 4
games. Isnt there supposed to be an adult? on the
bench.?
Mr Davis has always had self control problems and
now his team is reflecting the same lack of control.
Of course it will be those psycho refs.

GTHL at Big Nick

November 9 2008, 7:06 PM

Well said; too bad that kind of apologetic post does not occur on this site more often.

All the GTHL teams competed well in Big Nickel. Results close in all games, showing once again that Midget hockey is typically close and usually exciting.

Redwings did well and lost out to what I suspect may be tourney winner in Burlington (and beat them 1-0 earlier in tourney).
Majors and Marlies also lost close games to not advance further.
Re Titans (as per thread title): Titans in a division where 2 of the 5 teams made the semis and one may win all (and Titans were beating that team with 2 minutes left in their game but lost out - see Big Nickel website), so no shame for any of these teams.
Re: penalty minutes - who knows? Almost all seem to have come from last game vs. Soo North Stars and both teams took a lot. Doubt that Titans took too many when winning the London tourney in October ...
