the dad blamed "hockey coaches", due to the after the whistle crap.
ya gotta feel for the dad, he's just hanging on and not completely rational.
this was a freak, tragic accident, nothing more.
what an ass this judge is by convicting the other kid. he finds him guilty but then sentences him to probation. what a farce.
peel region wants to get itself on the map for prosecuting violence in sports, this was not about the 2 kids. |

How was this a freak accident. It happened away from where the ball was- he picked the guy up and dropped him on his head.Ok, I don't know all the rules to rugby, but this was no accident. |

He wasn't just dropped on his head.
Manny had the other player in a head lock. They were both low to the ground. The other player lifts up and they both fall backwards awkwardly. Unfortunately, Manny lands on his head.
People get this image of 1 guy lifting up the other guy, holding him perpendicular to the ground and driving his head into the ground head first. This is farthest from the truth.
This was'nt a WWE scripted move were 1 guy submissively alows the other to pick him up. Manny was too big and strong for that. It truly was a freak accident.
Had Manny become paralyzed, we wouldn't be discussing this now, as this would have been another more transparent accident, like the Sebastian Savage, Norman Leveille, etc tragic sports accidents. | |
