Response to Landmark Hotel

OK, looks like the hotel was quite popular back in the day for celebrities and the like due to its location (just off Hollywood Blvd and Sunset strip). Was built in the 1950s and has hosted such notables as The Rat Pack, Jefferson Airplane, Sigfried & Roy and of course Janis Joplin. Geez, must be somewhat nice if Sigfried and Roy were OK with staying there. And they even say that the world's greatest magicians stay there while performing at Wizards.

In looking at the website, seems like they've done a lot to spruce up the place. It's decorated in a tropical secluded setting, with plenty of palm trees, banana trees, lush plantings, etc. The rooms seem quite nice with 1, 2, and 3 bedroom suites available with kitchens.

And from what I understand, the previous owners tried to distance themselves from the Janis thing, but the new owners embrace that aspect of its history and will even let you stay in room #105. How cool would that be? Now I have to ask you - would you lay down on the floor between the bed and dresser... just for effect?
