Response to Re: Was janis' dealer prosecuted for murder?

Well, they knew his name was George, he drove a Cadillac Eldorado and Janis had called him for delivery. According to her sister, George delivered the heroin and said it was "primo stuff." The cops should have hauled him in, questioned him and arrested him for the eight deaths he caused because of his untested stuff.

People around Janis knew who he was and he should have been prosecuted. Does anyone know if the police followed up, arrested him and made him pay? Another intersting fact is Janis' lover, Peggy. Three years after Joplin's death, someone went to her house and stabbed the woman who answered the door, thinking it was Peggy. Evidently she had told the cops about George and he didn't like it. I'd love to know how the cops handled all of this and if George went to prison.
