Anyone interested in some good concert footage of Janis as well as plenty of candid stuff too, I recommend you check out FESTIVAL EXPRESS. It's about a concert tour by Grateful Dead, Flying Burrito Brothers, The Band, Janis Joplin, and of course others. The band members toured across Canada during the '70s on a train. Everyone lived (and partied) together for five days on the train, stopping in major cities along the way to play live concerts. The tour was filmed and from it came this movie. In one partcular bit, they talked about stopping the train near a liquor store and buying all the liquor in the store. Anyway, good footage of Pearl that will give fans a great, candid look into what she was all about. Did she or did she not get it on with Jerry Garcia? You be the judge.
