We used to go camping (many moons ago), the old fashioned way with two army shelter halfs (put together to make a pup tent) and sleeping bags.
This summer we visited Jim's sister and brother-in-law in an RV park in North Carolina where they were roughing it in a motor home that looked more like a luxury hotel inside than anything to do with camping. Now they've traded it for a newer model!
Not complaining, I love the creature comforts, and if I went with the present level of aches and pains, it would have to be the easy way. I still prefer the B&B's or a motel and good restaurant where someone else does all the work.
