Appreciate the sympathy, the ice must have worked. I'm able to hobble around with a cane this morning, painful but fairly steady. Yesterday making it to the bathroom was a major accomplishment, and Jim had to fetch and carry for me. I still need to stay off it the best I can, but at least I can see improvement.
Interestingly enough, I have only one varicose vein on my leg, and I've had it since I was ten. I have always heard they were uncomfortable, but walking on one is way past that. I'm encouraged with the improvement. The doctor said if it wasn't okay in a week, I might have to have it surgically removed.
