I got an e-mail from their daughter Lori and I am posting it here. Will follow with others as I hear.
Janice,
I got the message to email you re: mom. I talked to bothe her and dad this afternoon. Dad said she was fair and mom described it as groggy. Dad said she was sitting up in a chair when he got there this moning. They were giving her a little something for pain through iv and pain meds by mouth mostly. She was having some pain but for the most part wasn't too bad. They put in two heavy duty plates at the elbow and used some bone fusing material to hold the bone to the plates. The dr. described it as a bad surgery and a difficult one but everything went well. They did a nerve block in her shoulder to help with pain yesterday afternoon and then took her back to surgery around 3:00. She was in recovery around 6:30 p.m. yesterday evening and finally in a room around midnight last night. Her sugar was a little high and they had to give her an insulin shot this morning but seemed to be under control this afternoon. Hopefully they will release her Thursday morning to come home and the plan was to return in 10 days for the staples to be removed.
