I hope everyone had a wonderfully blessed Easter. Going to sunrise service is a special thing that I enjoy. We had several family members in over the weekend and many of those came to church also. Our church was packed. It was especially blessed because Carolyn was back in church for her first time since her accident in February. I understand she is going through some therapy, which is quite painful. We need to continue to remember her in prayer.
We had a unique experience last weekend. My sister-in-law Patsy had a birthday-prom last Saturday night. When she was a junior in high school, she wanted to go to the prom with my first cousin Larry Baker. Her mom wouldn't let her go. Now, years later, Patsy and Larry are engaged. For her birthday, he gave her a prom, complete with the decorations, a DJ, and family and friends in formals and suits. She truly had a wonderful celebration, along with all her sisters and brothers, as well as Larry's siblings and 2 of his children. One of our former classmates, Lynn Anderson was there with her husband. It was good to see her. She has retired and they bought a farm in Alabama and fixing up the house with plans to have a "Bed and Breakfast". Hopefully, she'll be able to come to our next class reunion.
