needed. There is a little boy, Matthew, we met at Camp Sunshine; he has Faconi Anemia, the same disease that Nicholas has. He is in bone marrow failure and they cannot find a match for him. Please consider becoming a donor. Wouldn't it be wonderful if you were a match?
We know how this family feels. We would love to find a cure to keep Nicholas with us, too; he would not survive a transplant. Each day with him is a blessing; platelet transfusions are needed more often now. I tremble inside; we are helpless. We need a miracle for Nicholas, and I am sure Matthew's family feels the same way.
