Unfortunately, I don't qualify as a donor. My husband was tested for Nicholas and prayed he would be a match, but it was not to be. He had to be taken off the list later because of a heart problem. We always encourage others to get involved--and the probably think it's easy for us to say since we can't do it.
I had a bone marrow test during one of my cancer bouts, and it isn't too bad. It does make your backside sore for a couple of weeks, but that is nothing compared to the joy of making a life saving donation.
