Happy Halloween

by

I resisted the urge to go to the Haunted Forest and scare the goblins this year... We're too far off the beaten path to get trick or treaters. When we lived in their path, my husband would fix a dummy for the front porch, hide an intercom in his hat, and entertain himself talking to the visitors before they reached the door. He always asked if they go to Sunday school and various other questions. Many of the little ones would carry on quite a conversation with Mr. Punkin Head. One little boy who was supposedly of limited capacity demanded that Jim come out, he wasn't fooled in the least.
