Can you believe they used machine guns to do a lot of the sculpting? I was awe stuck when I saw it and learned how it was done. I went just before classes started the fall of '75'. I had worked all summer roofing and took the week before and went to the Black Hills. We stayed at Deerfield Lake and a campground near the monument.
Did you stop at Wall Drug Store? I thought it was neat also. Of course I have always been easily entertained because I found the Corn Palace interesting in how they use only corn to do a new mural each year.
Did you get you any Black Hills jewelry ?
