Hi Patti,
Hope you and yours are doing well.
I know what you mean, Judy does not like to even use an R.V, anymore. We used to stay on a playa when we went to Penasco. Now we have to stay in a hotel, when we go.
There is good hunting on the property in Wyoming, and South and Central Texas. The property in South Texas is on the Rio Grand and has an 80 foot cliff to rappel: you can put a canoe in the water and canoe down to where the Rio Grand meets the Pecos, that is a good take out point after a good day of canoeing or there is deeded access to the Pecos for launching from, it is a little better trip and they are about 8 miles each the best I remember. If you catch the right flow times there is some good rafting, too. But, it has been pretty dry for a while. There are some interesting sights along the way and Parida Cave a little farther (http://www.nps.gov/amis/parida.htm). It is about 45 miles to Del Rio and Acuna by car to the east and about 12 miles to the west to Lilly's place (Langtry) where Judge Roy Bean held court. There is some good riding, both horse back and ATV. The hunting is mostly Mufflon and Audad sheep there are a few Mule deer and Javalina.
The place in Central Texas is located at Robert Lee and is on Lake Spence. There is (or was) good fishing for striped bass (some really big ones). There is good riding, both horse back and ATV. The hunting is mostly White Tail deer (Coke County is a 5 deer County) a few Mufflon and Audads, some Turkeys and Quail, an occasional Mule deer and wild hog, and a couple of years ago Bud saw a Mountain Lion on a fresh kill (surprised the fool out of him).
The places in Timberon (just 1/2 ac.) New Mexico and Fort Garland (just 8 ac.) Colorado are mainly staging points for skiing and other activities. There is good riding and hunting in both areas and lots of other things to do in both places.
Just let me know and I will meet you all or send you the necessary permission and directions to which ever you want. And if you would like I can send you pictures of which ever.

Take Care,
Dan
