My back porch got a good cleaning today, courtesy of the downpour. Wanted to pick some peas, but they'll have to dry out a bit first. My herb garden is yet to get planted (mud is not conducive to starting seeds), but at least we live on a hillside where flooding is not a problem. Hope everyone else is dry by now.
Went to CHS graduation last week. Brought back memories. Thought about teachers and administrators from our era. Back then I never pictured myself as ever being part of the older generation, though some places we qualify for senior rates. On vacation, my husband and my brother got discounts, guess we'll have to wait a couple of years some places. Stopped avoiding the inevitability of aging, sticks out all over, like the poundage I've picked up lately.
Where did you picture yourself by now? I never expected to marry--and then did so rather young. I thought I would be giving Henry a run for his money for Congress by now... Oh well, my life is different than I pictured it, but I'm thankful for how the Lord has intervened and worked everything according to His ultimate will.
How about the rest of you? How did your plans change along the way?
