I Once had a Porch

This world is not the same,
on this we must agree.
If houses had front porches,
just how would things be?
Our worlds problems
were solved on these,
many a friend was made this way.
Sitting in the swing happy all day
greeting each person as they passed our way.
Sharing the events of our life,
feeling at peace with the world.
Music soft in the air,
If only houses had porches now,
I'd visit you every day.
