Response to Ticonderoga to you too, Deanie Darlin'!!!

Deanie, it's me agin. Jest thought I'd appeal to the Bible Thumper in ya by doin' a lil'pennance to thank ya fer yer worryin' and faithful checkin' in to this here Royal Blue (got the paint chip right here) Hotel whist I was AWOL. 'Course pennance like this - writin' to my sweet-heart - is always my greatest pleasure, kinda like eatin' fish - my favorite dish - on Fridays.

Anyways, I jest bin thinkin' 'bout ya as always and wanted to check in myself to say a lil'howdy. Also wanna clarify a few thangs. You asked, "Ain't I bin good to ya?" Well, my final answer to that is and will always be yup, a thousand times yup. 'Ats right, I ain't got one itty-bitty complaint whar yer concerned. An' a course you've had yer moments, some pretty good ones I'm supposin'. Jest wishin' ya coulda had a few more of'em with me, baby. Not that I'm complainin' now, 'specially since I gots great hopes fer the future, my serene highness. 'Ats right, yer a real royal true-blue princess, ya are.

Now 'bout them tattoos...The truth is I ain't got a single one either!!! 'Course I gots a few mighty interestin' moles 'n birthmarks, but thar all 'riginal parts 'n don't count. Scars, too, but thar jesta part of livin'. Frankly, I think most tats are the death knell for any relationship. Can't begin to tell ya how many friends I got with references to thar exs tattooed all over thar 'natomy. Yup, seems the more unmentionable the location, the greater the chances fer disaster. Guess it don't always pay to advertise.

'An I wanna thank ya kindly fer that thar real sweet Tahitian complimint. Yule be happy to know I took the word 'n ran with it, lookin' up the vary best recipe fer that mighty fine lady's drink, the Mai Tai, usin' Bacardi Rum, Rose's Sweet 'n Sour, Rose's grenadine, anna sprig a mint. I gots the lil'umbrella's an' everythang. Yup, I'm all set to mix ya a pitcher full anytime ya wants.

'Fore I fergits. The incredible thang I wanted to tell ya was that I was jest out doin' my 'regular chores, ya know, milkin' the cows 'n sloppin' the hogs when I had one of them magic moments, that I jest hadda share with ya. It happened when I was finishin' up, waterin' the vegatable garden. I was sprayin' the zucchininininis with the hose, workin' up a lil'rainbow with the mist when the cutest lil'hummin'bird zipped right over to say howdy. Musta bin a female 'cuz she was all brown, not one of them flashy, sequined, ruby-throated, lookee'me, irredescent, green-winged males. Still, she was a right purty lil'thang in her own tiny, delectible way.

Anyways, she flew right up 'n faced me at about 5 feet aways. She hovered a spell, like to take the measure of me, then dipped herself right into that rain-bow mist fer a lil'bath. 'Ats how I know she had to be a missy, bein' all clean 'n hygene particular like. After her dip she sat onna twig in the settin' sun to dry offa mite, then dipped herself again, dried offa mite, then dipped a third 'an final time, whist I held the hose at a fine spray fer her, admirin' her fine feathers 'n itsy-bitsy, lil'hummin' perfection. She reminded me of the 'pression, "critters large 'n small." Also, made me think of you 'n how ya woulda enjoyed the moment as much as I did, since we both agree that it's the lil'thangs that can bring the greatest pleasure. Jest know I'll remember it fer a long, long time, like maybe forever, sentimental thang that I am. Only regret is that I didn't have an itty-bitty turkish towel to pass her so's she could dry off right 'n proper - Ha! Jest kiddin'!

Take one fresh and tender kiss
Add one stolen night of bliss
One girl, one boy, some grief, some joy
Memories are made of this

Add to the mix a small umbrella
A tropical night, a gal, a fella
Two lips, two sighs, pitcher of Mai Tais
Hangovers, no, memories are made of this

A scented Eden, fulla flowers
Thoughts of you, fillin'the bower
A lil'bird takin' a shower
Memories are made of this

With His blessin's from above
Serve it generously with love
One man, one gal, one love for life
Memories are made of his

XO
