Response to Bleach + Highlights

tj99,

Bleach alone does not contain any PPD, PTD, or TDS. That does not mean that it can not hurt you, it just means that it will not cause your allergies to act up. I love bleach, and I use it all the time in my salon. I rarely use toners, prefering to allow my clients to only lighten to a few shades above their natural color. When you use toners, I feel that they wash out, which makes them look brassy in a few weeks. They also have PPD, or PTD. So, you should not be using them, even if you are using a cap. NO TONERS! SO, you also need to be careful to go to an experienced hairdresser, or pay attention to the directions on the package to make sure that when you are using bleach you do not have problems with the following problems that can occur. Chemical burns on the skin, in the lungs, and on your eyes, broken hair, burned hair, brassy hair, over processed hair, or white hair. These are the most common mistakes. I can't think of any thing else, but I hope that I helped. but...did I mention that I love bleach, and that I use it ALL THE TIME? :-}
