I had absolutely beautiful results!!! It was calles, "Hennalucent" in a color called, "Bark Brown". I found it at Sally's Beauty Supply.

100% Organic
Semi-Permanent Conditioning Hair Color

Safe for chemically treated hair

No metallic salts

Hennalucent is an organic conditioning hair color. it is not a tint, dye or bleach and it does not contain harsh chemicals, peroxide or metallic salts.

Use Hennalucent with single process tints, bleached, frosted, permed, straightened or relaxed hair with complete confidence. Hennalucent is rich in proteins and organic conditioners that enhance the shine and condition of your hair. It helps to repair split ends, and strengthen dry, damaged, chemically processed hair.

Available in 5 translucent shades plus neutral to intensify and enhance your natural hairs color. No harsh re-growth, color fades naturally in 6-8 weeks.

And only $3.99. There was only two shades available at Sally's where I went. The box has a list of all natural ingredients, no chemical, no ppd, no warnings whatsoever.

I'm sold. My hair feels like a little kids. Shiney and silky. I did use a good conditioner afterwards. I can usually pull my ends and pull off little split ends, and not now. As for grey coverage. Not bad. Greys are not noticible. Yeah, I can do this every couple of months.

henna me
Here is a picture I took afterwards, excuse the expression! lol, but this one really shows the great color I got in the light.

Look at my bangs and how shiney they are. My hair has never felt so silky, shiney soft. I just wanted to bump this back up so you would notice this Henna shine!! And the stuff repairs split ends?? Nice, huh?

Thanks so much for posting this!

You look great...as does your hair! happy.gif

I think my color is similar to yours. How much gray would you say you have? Mine isn't too much, most of it is typically hidden. What drives me crazy is when it pops up in my hairline/part and around my face. I guess I would say I'm about 15% gray. (Something I need to worry about when pulling hair up, etc.)

You'll have to confirm if it lasts 6-8 weeks.

Did you have to mix anything, or just apply directly?

Thanks again for posting. I love it!

I am a bit grey around temples and a few sprigs here and there elsewhere. Gone now, yeah. I will keep u posted. I have a lot more body now which is awesome.

It comes in a powder that you mix with boiling water. It smells like hay. Looks like avacado dip, lol and you need to keep it moist, which I patted with hot water so it would dry out. You leave in on 45 minutes. Then shampoo, condition and..........I love it!!!! No chemical, no warnings, it is so wonderful.

Aluli your hair looks absolutely gorgeous:)! Are you still happy with it and is it lasting? If you have any gray could you tell us if it covered the gray and is holding up. I don't have a ton of gray, but it is in two Cruella Devile streaks at my temples as well as I have a lot of faded old dye from last year:(. You mentioned that you kept it wet while you had the Hennalucent on. You didn't have to cover it with plastic like other henna products? The reason I am asking is because I have some issues with chemicals in plastic or rubber and haven't wanted to sit with plastic wrap on my head for 2-3 hours like you have to with regular henna. I bought some Light Mountain, but like GoGo haven't had the courage to try it yet. Alyssa on this forum used it for years and gave some great advice.

The Hennalucent you used sounded simpler to use? Thanks for any info!

You should be able to cover it with almost anything. Maybe there's a plastic-like thing that you can use instead? Or perhaps a towel that you don't mind getting stains on?
Some people don't cover it at all, it depends on what shade of color you're going for.

The best thing is to google henna to find forums and such, I've found that there are a LOT of people dedicated to using henna and I'm sure that they'll love to give you advice on different methods happy.gif

I have some greying around the temples and some strands here and there. The color is holding up fantastic! I did not use plastic wrap but stayed near the sink where I kept dampening it with water. I didnt want to take off the gloves so I was able to blot the water on as needed. I am really impressed with the product!!

And thank you for the compliments!!

I went to Sally Beauty supply this weekend for the Hennalucent. They were out of the bark brown and mentioned that they weren't sure if it was going to be discontinued. Wondering if you have heard anything about this? They did have a box of sunset glow Hennalucent. I do have a box of Light Mountain Henna, but haven't gotten the nerve up to try it yet. The Hennalucent sounded simpler and seeing a picture of your hair made me want to try it.

Have Sally's order it. Is there another Sally's in town? We have like, three.
I am still enjoying color from when I did it.

They had that red one too when I got my Bark Brown. They only had the two colors. If your other Henna says 100% organic.. I would totally trust it. The key is to keep it moist while on your head. You can leave on two hours for maximum results. I left mine on 45 minutes. Use a plastic bag to help keep it moist. Next time I'm leaving mine on longer. It won't hurt you. It's like a clay mud mask you mix with boiling water. No chemical. No worries.

Thanks for all the info! Glad to hear you're still happy with the color:) You say that next time you want to leave it in for longer than 45 min. About how long do you think you're going to try? What is the reason you want to leave it in longer?

I've read on some Henna sites that they had better results leaving it on up to 2 hours. I think it would better the grey coverage. The main problem is keeping it moist and for that, they wrapped up using plastic.
