Has anyone ever heard of LUSH henna bars? They kind of look like soap bars. I was at a different mall than I usually shop at and found a LUSH store. I've heard of them on line, but don't really know much about them. The person in the store said that they make a lot of natual haircare and skincare products.

Also I came across a quite a few makeup and skincare lines at Sephora that now has a natural seal that they reference their more organic companies. A few of the lines were Korres, Josie Maran, etc. They actually list which of their products are free of parabens, petro chemicals and synthetic dyes.
So far I have been using only a few things from clinique and I have used Korres's mascara.

It was kind of nice that these were at a local mall, and kind of makes me feel like somebody's starting understand that there are a lot more people with sensitivities.

I've got a few things from LUSH.
Got a friend that works there and she uses their henna, she's got naturally "mousy" brown/dark blonde hair, also she's vegan and VERY particular about what products she uses.
She colors with LUSH's Caca Marron and got a beautiful deep brown color happy.gif

If I decide to go with henna (currently bleaching) I'll get either LUSH or Santé.

Oh, and I only use make-up without preservatives and synthetic dyes happy.gif
Really LOVE the mascara & lipgloss from 100% pure.
Also check out "Jane Iredale" (although some of the products contain synthetic dyes so check first) love their stuff and it's a fairly "common" brand.
Product list WITH ingredients can be found herehttp://janeiredaledirect.com/.

Thanks for the info on LUSH. When I walked into the store it really smelled wonderful. I'd like try some of their stuff. Nice to hear that your friend like the henna. Does she have any grey?

The 100% pure makeup sounds interesting. Do you have to order it online or can you buy it in a store?

I did try Jane Iredale's eyeshadow (C.O. Biegelow carries her stuff). I know it's supposed to be really gentle stuff that was originally created for people to use after cosmetic surgery while they were healing. The only thing of hers I have tried is the eyeshadow, unfortunately my eyes were still unhappy even with the Jane Iredale shadow. I'll probably still try some of her other stuff. I have been able to wear Boots No. 7 eyeshadow singles which Target sells, but they just changed their formula and added parabens. Wish they wouldn't have changed a good thing:(

Don't know if she has any greys, but I recall her saying that her mum uses it with success, and she must have greys.

Oh that sucks, hate it when they change a good formula!
I'm trying to avoid parabens myself, even though I'm not allergic.

Just a thought.. Was there any Carmine in the Jane Iredale eyeshadow?
I know people can react to that, especially if you have asthma.

I get my 100% Pure stuff from a Swe webshop, but I think it's an american brand.

I can also recommend mineral make-up, if you haven't tried it. I've even given up on normal foundations and concealers!
Just watch out for something called "Bismuth Oxychloride" although mineral, it's known to make even people with "normal" skin itch.

Hope I could help

Love the nickname. Thanks for helping with info. I think I'll check into the Lush products. The store smelled really good. I did recently notice the 100% Pure mentioned in a magazine, don't remember which one.

Not sure if the Jane Iredale had carmine or not, didn't know that could irritate. Thanks.

Linda
