We have a "winter visitor" that makes the oufits out of wedding gowns she picks up at estate sales - she uses the trim to decorate the outfits, too! Myself - I use cotton or cotton/poly for the boy vests, hat, etc. and the main outfit out of a "dressier" fabric, like tricot or brushed nylon, crepe, etc. - whatever is donated. The buntings and fetal pouches are usually made of a pretty pastel flannel or crocheted - and the hospitals here have asked us to line them with plastic (ziplock bags cut open and stiched work well). Hope this helps!
Donations are always welcome. Please contact the chapter closest to you and share your thoughtfulness so more babies can be reached. You may find a list at www.newbornsinneed.org. Look for the link at the top of the page. Want to contact our main offices? Reach out to nationaloffice@newbornsinneed.org. We love to hear from our volunteers.
