both men look groggy as the referee begins to count to 10. 1...2...3... both men crawl to the same area without realising. 4...5...6 they use the ropes to gradually get to their feet and start trading stiff blows. Kane ducks under Van Halen and sends him to the floor with a clothesline. Kane goes for a triangle submission hold and Van Halen looks ready to tap, but somehow manages to bend his knees under him and send Kane flying over his head, but still gets caught by Kanes boot on the back of his head. A dazed Van Halen slowly climbs to his feet, just as Kane has got to his knees.

Van Halen steadies himself and as Kane gets to his feet he launches a vicious superkick at his opponents' throat. Kane is sent flying back to the ground and Van Halen goes to a turnbuckle with 2 fingers shown, indicating he is going to attempt his signature Double Chokeslam. He goes over to Kane and picks him up by his armpits, he then positions his right hand at Kanes throat, and chokeslams him down. He then repeats this with his left hand and yes he pulls off his double chokeslam. Goes for the cover: 1...2... Kane finds some energy from somewhere and gets his shoulder up.

Van Halen is incensed and complains to the referee that it was a slow count. Meanwhile Kane has got up and performs a sweeping kick to send Van Halen to the floor. Van Halen sits up, but Kane performs a running kick to send him back to the mat. Kane climbs to the top of the nearest turnbuckle and goes for an elbow drop, but Van Halen rolls away and he only hits the mat. Both men climb to their feet gingerly and Kane is the first to get himself steady. Kane gets to Van Halen and performs a jacknife powerbomb. He runs over to the turnbuckle but Van Halen kicks his leg to send him to the mat.
