A Few Months or so ago....

A Few Months or so ago....this question came up and I wrote to the Atlas Jar people, I think it waa, their reply read like more of a disclaimer than anything else, as I expected, e.g., the jars were not intended for bottling beer, not recommended, etc. What would one expect them to say.

Never The Less, there's only one way to find out, someone has to try it and report back--Disclaimer: don't try this: could be dangerous and cause harm to oneself and others.

I know of only one who has ever claimed to have done this, just idle talk with a stranger....in a bar, as a matter of fact. He also claimed excellent results packing whole hops in mason jars w/o freezing; not boiling malt, etc.

But, I'd really be surprised if nobody has ever tried this before, successful or otherwise. I'll bol and let ya all know if I hear any more of this.
Hey, I saw some of those screw-top Mason jars w/handles on them the other day at...the pottery barn, old time pottery, or some name like that--good drinking mug--bottling, who knows?
