The 'NBE Search' option available from the main menu is designed to search the whole web, just like the major search engines do, but with an added emphasis on sites which clearly relate to our subject. Therefore it may give better results than the major search engines provide, but should at the very least return the same results.

Further note on 'NBE Search'

A further note on the 'NBE Search' option:
I had been under the impression that this option was not proving very popular, and was considering whether to keep it available on the site or not, but checking the stats I found that the number of searches made using the 'NBE Search' has been averaging 19 a day, which was definitely more than I would have guessed. I think this number of searches, although modest, is enough to justify continuing to have the option available and it will therefore remain on the site.
