I haven't popped into the message board to update it for a while and that's a good sign. We've been so busy meeting the needs of the sick and afficted. A large donation was taken to Shriner's Hospital in St Louis, Missouri and donations of baby items taken to the medical clinics and donated locally to new parents.
At our Houston, MO location we were delighted to recieve a crib and bumper pad set to be donated out. We also have been very busy at the flea market raising funds to help with needs. Relief Share is blessed with a wonderful volunteer who works at the flea market who can straighten our booth and take care of information requests. It helps to have someone right there each day
Our Wyoming location has been hopping with donations in and out for local residents. Volunteers go pick up donations and sort through to prepare bags for those who request assistance. Relief Share has had excellent support from the community in Casper, Wyoming and made good contacts to network with other agencies and charities to maximize our efforts.
Our Houston office now has signage up made for us by McCarty signs - it looks wonderful! We have already had folks in to the office asking if they could help. In a couple of weeks we will have a table at the local fair, donated by the Chamber of Commerce and will be able to do fundraising and disseminate information.
All in all a very busy summer!
