48mm case information

After some delay (the person I deal with at this supplier was off for a while due to an accident) I have some answers on the 48mm PVD case that appeared to be the most popular option.

Here is the photo for a refresher....

The width between the lugs is 22mm, and the case is rated for 3 ATM of water resistance.

Because of the large size of the case, it does not take a stock dial, so a custom dal would be needed for it. The only reason I mention this is that it will affect the price since custom dials are typically (depending on the specifics) more expensive to get than stock dials.

Hope this information helps.

Cheers, Al

Thanks Al. I think that would be a great watch case to work with. As for the

custom dial, i think it would be really great to get the people here to design somethign custom.

However do you have any details on what that would cost? Also what is the minimum run we could have a dial with a good Lume created?

Best,
K

Dials

As I noted previously, in order to know the cost I would need to know the dial configuration. For example if we use say a Unitas 6497 in this case, and we keep the second hand at 9, that will be less money than if we eliminate it. If we have 5 colours instead of 2, that will be more money as well.

Bottom line is I need to know what the dial will look like before I can get a really good feel for the cost.

The number of dials would also somewhat depend on the configuration (if they have to do a custom blank run then that will be a minimum of 20 dials).

Thanks, Al
