When I left college in 1980, computers disappeared from my life for a while. So computer use fell into "hobby" use, and I had to choose hobbies:
Get a computer, and get much beter at programming, on it, or really work on my golf game?
Well, I chose golf. While working on my masters a few years later, I bought a Leading Edge DOs Based Machine, and made the mistake of getting two floppy drives versus a floppy and a hard drive.
Once I mastered Word Star, and a few other ways around DOS, I had to decide if I would get it hooked up to my phone to expand my use, or . . . I chose not to, as I had just gotten married and time for hobbies, which computers still were for me, changed. I preferred golf, and other outdoor activities.
Well, I am still catching up.
