Will Chogall rise again?! Here are some more 'ports'
Feedback welcome...

___________
Beastmaster

The beast master feels the power of nature and surrounds himself
with beasts. His/her skills and worn items strongly reflect this.
The greatest evil in the game for the Beastmaster is the cow king,
who has corrupted the most noble of beasts, the Bovine.

Class: Sorc(Hydra), Nec(Clay golem/BoneSpirit), Druid Tag: BM
Items: ONLY gear with beast prefix or suffix, or animal (not
demon) name can be worn - list below. The more beasts represented
the better, so eventually dual (pref+suff) beast items are worn
more and more. Note they will prefer wearing 'more' representative
beast items than the 'best' available. If a high lvl BM didn't have
a full dozen beasts represented, he would feel remiss.

Prefix:
Mana series: Lizard, Snake, Serpent, Drake, Dragon, Wyrm
Vulpine

Suffix:
Strength: Ox, Giant, Titan
HP series: Jackal, Fox, Wolf, Tiger, Mammoth, Colossus
Leech, Locust, Bat, Vampire, Bear

Preferred uniques:
Blinkbat's Form
Howltusk
Hawkmail
Venom Ward
Snake Cord
Gull
Serpent Lord
Salamander (one of best for Hydra sorc)

Rares: must have a beast name (e.g., Raven, Eagle) AND an attribute
that reflects the power of a beast (eg Knockback=Bear).

...........
Survivalist

Class: Any (Bar is most powerful) Tag: Y2K
The survivalist is very leery of townsfolks and expects them to
close shop or run out of goods - he doesn't trust them. The
Survivalist will never buy a potion, but seeks to become less
dependent on them, and more on his skills. Leech, vampire, etc.,
and skills like Warmth, Meditation, Redemption, Find Potion,
are prized. His hoarding nature is seen by what he holds on to:
by the time his cube is found, either the stash or cube must be
kept FULL of potions - preferably a variety of types: purple,
red, blue, thawing, antidote, stamina. However, this is mostly
out of paranoia, the chance of using them is actually small.
One row may be devoted to hoarding gems of good quality.

Other restrictions and comments by class:
- Ama: never buys ammo, must find and hoarde her own (hence MS and
strafe popular, along with mana and life steal). No skill restrictions.
- Bar: uses Find Potion rather than buying them, uses Find Item to find
extra items to sell. With these great abilities comes a price- it leads
him to hoarde gold as well. His goal is to keep his stash gold at MAX.
Gambling funds typically is the leftover 'on person'. Some laugh at
the Y2K-Bar when he dies and his hoarded gold splatters, but he calls
them foolish, and finds some more items to sell.
- Nec: Blood Golem is his favorite skill, to hoarde life. He casts
sparingly, so as to not waste too much mana.
- Pal: Redemption, personal hoarding of life and mana, is his favorite
aura, although some Healing and Meditation will be used too. FOH is
considering wasteful on mana and never used, otherwise no skill restricts.
- Soc: Warmth, and more warmth. Yet ironically, she feels nervous if the
blue globe goes below half - she prefers to always have something 'in
reserve'.

For all types, Frostburns, Stone of Jordan, Nightsmoke and other
large scale producers of mana or life, are prized.
Their favorite Blacksmith is Hratli. Like the Y2K, Hratli avoids the
useless hubbub and chatter of town, and prefers to be off by himself.
Most folks don't realize what a hoarde of good Hratli has under his hut.
Some Bar-Y2K's won't let anyone but Hratli repair their armor.
Gheed, otoh, is viewed as an opportunist out to relieve him of his wealth, and is never even spoken to.

.............
Obsidian Lord

He who stalks his prey to inflict the charge of doom sees a new
challenge, and opportunity, in the East. Having vanquished
Blackstorm, life was good as King, but now the unthinkable has
happened! The king of stones, Obsidian, has all but disappeared!
The Obsidian Lord must find out the cause of this tragedy, and
restore the good name of his people...

Class: Pal Tag: OBS
Role: D1 Variant based on the Obsidian Lord monster
Items: strong, strong preference for items 'black' in appearance,
including skull items. Great helm, bone helm or Mask (horns) are
required once found. Key skill is Charge, and no ranged attacks
allowed. Preference for the D1 +all gems: topaz, amber, jade,
emerald, but may wear a prismatic ammy as well. Another focus is
getting strong resists (mostly via resist all).
Example setup: Skull-Dia-Dia Pavise, Dual Skull Helm, Darkglow...
(I know several Pals that look very dark, but don't know what
combo of items give that 'look'.) Salvation will be strong on
this character.
