Just kidding, but Rage is already in use and I have plans to port that one over to d2. Berserk and WW are going to be a main feature too but Berserk is somewhat bugged so I am waiting for d2x.
Dragon included as animal? If not, you may want to list all of them since there are few anyway.
I am glad you are not restricting other attacks.
Shields: The ATD can be a bit tough unless you really want to discourage the use of a shield, especially beyond clvl 20. Spike only gives 2-6 ATD. I am with Charis on ditching the shield completely if just for the sake on continuity. Let him concentrate on buildong DR and (d2x) forget trying to dex it up for blocking.

Sound restriction. However, these prefixes in d2 don't do as much as they do in cd because of rare items. You might give this a little more thought if you you to restrict damage dealt; or leave it as is for role playing alone (No one uses them anyway if they have any luck at all).

In tune with the variant. So now we have 3 "heavy" restrictions if you are going to nerf weapon damage, no shield and relatively low DR, and now low HP. HP adder will be popular with this guy.
The no retreat rule is nothing to be taking lightly. It is especially VERY BRUTAL without the right partners who knows your dilemma and coop accordingly.
That also bring up a point... Some people dislike variant tags because they think it as a brag. A tag is more than that, it lets other cooper know what your promblem is ;p to act and help accordingly. It also help people know why you are acting a certain way while role playing and not think you are a jerk.

Anyway, unless you intend your variant to be played in normal diff only (like some heavivly restricted variants), please play test it as far as possible (especially with no retreat) before you pen the final version. Then give me a shout, I'll be glad to host the variant on this site
