Return of the King

Know what that means? Extended will be out this summer. :D

The same version as what we've seen on the big screen. The Extended Edition is still slated for November (last I heard).

The reason it was November with the last two was to build anticipation for the next movie in line. Since there is not next movie in line and the Theatrical is out this month, Summer is more likely (as I stated originally).

Try: "return king dvd november" and observe some 400,00 hits or so. :D

You'll find the theatrical version DVD release date is still May 25 (sooner than the August releases of previous installments). I have yet to read anything regarding the Extended Edition being released in anything other than November. Incidentally there is a rumour floating around about an August release for it, but even Jackson himself is repeatedly mentioning November.
