three steps from the kitchen that lead to the back door in my house. The paint was rubbing off on them anyway, and they were looking in bad shape. My dh took the children to a birthday party a few hours away from our house, so they were gone the whole day on Saturday. I stayed home because of Ernie, we can't leave him that long without letting him out and dh was no mood to set up the kennel that he took down in the summer time. So that left me home alone. I've never used an electric sander before, so I looked on line to see how to use one.
I got most of it sanded it took 2 hours or more to do and the dust was terrible! Anyway I still have to do .... I'm assuming ... another 2 hours or more of sanding before I can stain them. The dust was terrible though so I'm not too excited about doing that again!
It's one of those " why did I even attempt this" type of projects I get myself into.
