"Upon mine lips, a soft kiss did he place. His eyes held promise of new embrace. Evenings spent around thine fire, for truely that was..a deep desire. Memories that flood her mind, the deep crimson that flowed from the dagger's kiss. Around that fire, the air thick with bliss, he breathed his last words looking into her soul..."
(When The Moonlight Lies. Shawnna Blake, Bard.)
-She sat within the hidden dwelling, the child upon the fur rug, fast asleep. The fire crackled and spit in fury, the flames danced in rage. Seeming to reflect the inner mood of the beauty that sat before it. She held the tome within her lap and red the dragon's tongue. Scribed carefully within the pages of sweet hued vellum. Pened in the Mage's blood. She'd payed a heavy price for the book. In truth, it was more than she'd thought she would ever pay for such things. Still, the spells it offered, the hint of what could be done. Caused her skin to tingle with life. Something she'd not felt in a long, long time.
As she closed the book, her mind drifted back to her harsh words the day before. 'You play a game your not prepared to play..old man..' A bitter smile upon her lips as she shook out her long blonde tresses, the chair creaking as she stretched her long legs before her. It was true, he was dealing in an area he obviously knew nothing of. His actions in the meadow showed that alone. She'd traded her armor for something more subtle, the bracers tucked away under the long sleeves of the velvet dress. Hiking the skirts up around her thighs she slipped from the chair and crawled next to Shiana, resting beside the child. She touched her cheek, with a gentle kiss, and sighed soft, as she breathed in her scent.- "Sleep well darling girl.. rest easy.." -She whispered the spell gently. Sprinkling fae dust upon her soft skin, causing it to shine softly. And lay awake even knowing the child would sleep till past dawn...-
