Following on from our highly successful Supporting Deaf People online conferences, we are pleased to announce the Deaf People and Mental Health conference. This three day online conference will be useful to all those who are involved in, or interested in, the field of mental health and deafness.
Sessions confirmed are:
Keynote presentations by Dr. Robert Pollard (Director - Deaf Wellness Center, University of Rochester School of Medicine) and Dr. Brendan Monteiro (Medical Director at St George Healthcare Group).

- Brian Berlinski on Best practices in treatment for deaf children who were exposed to domestic violence
- Dr. Erez Miller on Social and emotional challenges of deaf students in special education in Israel
- Dr. Sara Rhys Jones, Ged Davies and Dr. Sophie Roberts on Using videoconferencing in mental health services for deaf children
- Lara Denman on Providing culturally responsive mental health care to indigenous and ethnic deaf people
- Naomi Sharples on Empowering deaf individuals and empowering communities by accessing education in health related professions
- Lynne Hawcroft and Elaine Welch on Making positive connections - suicide and deaf communities in Glasgow
- Ben Karlin on Bending the Rules - interpreting in mental health settings

Online conferences can be attended flexibly as there are no real-time sessions. You have access to the conference for a period of six weeks, including a reading week before the conference starts.
