With 43 Vintage entries on the books and 12 days to go until the 100th running of the APBA Gold Cup, the show is about to go on.
Vintage participants are to bring their boats to the Vintage and Historic pits in Piston Park. There they will find their participants credential package at Vintage Registration, a 20X 20 tent in the northeast corner of the Piston Park pit area.
For 2009, a participants package includes 6 Hot Pit Passes and one 3-day parking permit for WaterWorks Annex/Piston Park parking, next to the Piston Park pits.
Additional tickets and passes can be purchased by V&H participants at the Pit Tower (2nd floor)
Please note... each person receiving a Hot Pit Pass must sign an APBA waiver to get the required identification wrist band.
Getting to Piston Park
Access to Piston Park is gained from Jefferson Avenue by way of Motorboat Lane, a narrow street next to the Gregory Boat Company (9666 E. Jefferson). Signage on Jefferson Avenue will help identify the area.
(A photograph of the Jefferson Avenue entrance can be found at www.gold-cup.com/guides _attractions_box-office_parking_info.php. Scroll to the photos at the bottom of the page.)

Standard Disclaimer
Thanks to the efforts of Tom Bertolini and the DRRA, V&H water time is plentiful. But, as always, we are at the mercy of the weather and the on-water requirements of the Unlimited teams racing for the Gold Cup and the Off Shore entrants.
If all goes well, we will see three days of action, starting Friday afternoon. Between the racing, the F-18 Navy Tactical Demos and our Vintage action, it will be a 100th Anniversary weekend to remember.
