Find a plastics house somwhere nearby and ask for DELRIN-AF or the genaric equivilent. It's brown in color and machines very easily.
Plan on a .005"- .008" crush on the bushing. Allow .010" - .012" on the shaft as you will loose some when you crush the sleve in the barrel of the strut.
