If you mean BASIC, say BASIC. If you mean Microsoft's QBASIC or QuickBASIC (or the more advanced Microsoft BASIC PDS/QuickBASIC Extended) say that. QuickBASIC has only been around since 1987 or so.
BASIC itself has been around since 1964 or so. Microsoft BASIC has been around since the late 1970's when Bill Gates and the co-founder of Microsoft developed their BASIC on some emulator of the Altair then hoped it would work right. Luckily for Bill Gates, it did work! |
