Elgin is the team to beat, they were last year too and will only be stronger again this year, my kid is on a rival team so I guess we will see soon enough how they are this year.

Lamton is bad for this reason alone. BAD COACHING. Their talent....is middle of
the road....or, maybe a bit better than average. Certainly on defence...they have
3 kids that are rock solid, a 4th...good, and 2 more that are servicable...move the
puck forward and can stand up at the blue line.

The forwards lack scoring skill sets but do forecheck hard, make contact....and
create some opportunities.

Targets - average.

Coach, AWFUL. He has the SAME PRACTICE every PRACTICE. SAME Drills, teaches nothing
and has no bench direction during the tilt. Same cliche's. Drinks coffee before the game,
stands outside the dressing room like he's Scotty Bowman...then walks in 30 seconds
before the tilt and says, "Send a message first shift boys"....."move the puck"....
"play the man"......"get on those rebounds, eh?"

2/3 kids leave the LG team and they are hurting!! All those kids that sat the bench too many times for the LG will now have to learn to pick up the slack without DB, it will come, give them time. Chatham is a different team this year, they will give the other teams a run for their money for sure.

LG will pull through because of the excellent coaching, give them to the
end of December...early January, they'll be a top team that is for sure

They do have an excellent coach. Hopefully he is allowed to coach and the convenor keeps his nose out of things.

Whats up with that insane Lampton 95 coach. What an embarrassment. Couldn't believe his attitude towards the kids on the bench, or when a kid made a mistake on the ice and came to the bench. He is going to crush the self esteem of those kids.

I was on here all last year talking about him, what an embarrassment he is and those poor kids, I can't believe the parents don't speak up, these are their kids for gods sakes!!

If you do not like this coach have some stones and let him know to his face.
Tell him all about your systems and what line matchups you would employee against certain teams and draw up the practice for him.

Funny how Brian Kilrea could run the same practice with the same drills for years with Ottawa 67's only to become the winningest coach in the history of the OHL.
