Size, size and size again, takes away a lot of the ice surface, from the superstar of yesteryear!!! So, the 5'6" of the world better start getting bigger and stronger, because the draft is coming soon. Drafts aren't based on reputations!!!

Ritchie will be top 5 in 2011 draft. Tough, physical, smart, great hands and can score. work ethic is only question mark.

True but drafts aren't also based on who gets taller first either. If the kid is tall and very skilled then they'll go early in the draft. Tall and moderately skilled may not go at all, just take a look at last year's draft and see how many big kids weren't drafted at all. You still need good vision and good skill to go get picked.

Writing names on this web page won't get kids drafted. Hard work will. Most of the names here were all stars back in atom. The post said not to be biased. Is Batemen the overall best D. What would Subban be like with 94's? He does pretty good in school hockey playing with kids much older. Or Andrews. The last time you saw Batemen was when he was a foot taller than everyone else. The 95 age group have mostly caught up in that aspect.
Are the so called top players that much better than everyone else? I personally don't think so. With the exception of a few the rest of the age group is competitive and have an equal shot at getting drafted 2 years from now.

The players of yesterday may not be the players of tomorrow. My son for example has gained 5 inches and 40lbs. in the last 9 months and Im sure this is happening to many other kids. The smaller kids in minor bantam will have to grow some or make huge adjustments to progress and the kids who have had an advantage over others because they grew first will be having a reality check when they realize that there are many other players who are the same size as them now. Please report back when the Wings tourney is done and I believe you will see a 50% change in most lists posted if they are objective instead of blatant pimping of days gone by.

I see Ritchie all over this but where's he proven himself his dad has the biggest ego around hockey or lacrosse period. Mediocre at best playing up in hockey haven't seen him compete against the best 95's since Minor Peewee not to mention his behaviour issues in the dressing rooms etc....

Ritchie is a big kid so your kid better grow another 5 inches or suffer getting pounded.

How do I go about getting an F1 waiver if the coach becomes a real stickler and doesn't want to give me one? The great hockey knowledge on this board has never let me down before. If you read the above posts it refers to MANY of the younger smaller kids are growing up so the ones that grew first or the ones that will never be as big as the others will have to make adjustments. You are reading things out of context. When kids are 11, 12, 13 the players who are born in Jan, Feb March are the oldest and thus bigest kids. The kids who mature earlier than others are also bigger and stronger. When you are 14, 15, 16 when most kids are mature the deciding factors are skills and how you use your size not just the fact that you simply over powering others who have not grow up yet. Do you need more explaining.

Halton loses all their top players by Peewee due to crappy coaching. Coaches get control of the teams and have their kid on it but in Halton the coaches kids are always at the bottom of the talent pool. Never in the top 12. Talk to anyone who played for Halton in the 1992, 93, 94, 95 age groups who have left. You'll get quite an opinion.

There are lots of good players in the SCTA who don't have the "supporting cast" to play with. Many of these players on the best teams are made to look better due to who they are playing with. I am sure that you could put other players in their positions and they would look good as well.

Tend to agree with the Clarington comment. Wrong kids keep getting the attention, not that it matters much. A new nonparent coach is the only answer here, especially one who isn't influenced by meddling, crying to the executive parents. But taking that on in the M. Midget year will be too late.
Rumor has it that a few of the unnoticed kids have had enough and are asking to play somewhere else next year.
As for pimping the goalie, the Goals against speak for itself, and they are equally shared. At least the other guy sticks it out when the going gets tough.

Latour is the most gifted player on Barrie, but that does not mean he is the best, his work ethic is not as good as the others, PB, ZN, CB, all work much harder....he is not mouthy though. I would take any of those over Wallace or Nosad. Mailaino is YSE's best player.

You must not watch a lot of hockey. The game against Westchester was very close. Not too many teams fill the net against that team. They are top 5 in North America. The Chicago mission game was just about one of the best hockey games you will ever see.End to end action and both goalies standing on there head.Winning goal was a scrum at the front of the net at the end of the 4th period.
I dont care who you are you dont fill the net every game against that caliber of teams.

The top offensive line I watched and heard about at the Marlies tourny was the one from Welland.
