since when is bronze something to be ashamed of, that's the problem with canadian hockey parents, anything less then a gold is considered a failure, that is sad.

Don't think they picked the best "team" it was basically the 18 top OHL picks picks and a couple others. But I disagree with all those who say it was a bad result. Lost in OT to Russia, the gold medalists, who for the record are a country who just won the gold in the WJHC.

Funny...if the 96's were so darn good many things would have gone another direction.

1. World Youth Olympics - Brinze and that was a National Team, not a provincial team.

2. Why would many teams trade 2 or more 2012 draft picks for a high end 1st rounder 95 this year? If 96's were so much better they would have kept their 1st round + second round picks for 2012.

3. A few teams do not have any 2nd rounders for 2012 as traded away for older players?

Kingston only traded away their forst round 95 because he was NOT going to report...yet they traded away their top player for a 1st round 95???

96 was first, but now here a 97 might be get ES for thi year's 96 draft....go figure.

Also, Yes the U17 did not win but the National 96 team only earned Bronze which is about where last years U16 was.
