He did go to a very good hockey store and he has a combo helmet with mouth guard attatched, shoulder pads (with the chest protector) a neck guard (required for his hockey club) elbow pads, knee pads/shin pads, breezers, and gloves and was fitted for the correct size skates. They spent about an hr getting him in all the right gear.

I figured he would just get it, like someone said, but felt so bad at the same time for him.. I told him a lot of kids fall, and he wasnt the only one crying. he wants to go back out again and try it so at least thats good. I've thought about signing him up for an additional Learn to Skate class that run two months. They have a hockey one. Other than that I will try to get out there with him. who knows, maybe seeing me not do so well will encourage him to show me how good he is.

The pucks motivate him a ton. As soon as they toss those out for the last 10 mins he does everything he can to get over there and hit them.
