You mentioned that the Bantam Minor team was an imported team full of stars that played down to NIHL level to win banners. That doesn't make sense. They won the regular season in Central States as well as the playoffs, which is in fact the league they play in. It is the toughest possible option for them. They also won the state championship in the Blackhawk Cup at the A level. As the third Bantam team, they could have actually petitioned to play at the B level but actually pondered to play at the AA level to give more of a challenge. Decided against it because they did not want to put any player at unnecessary risk of injury against older, stronger players. They also played up in the elite division at the Bauer invite and went 2-2.
As far as your import statement, it could not be any more incorrect. 10 players on the team started playing hockey at the Edge. 4 players were new to the team this season. Are the Blues 98's the only Bantam CSDHL team that added 4 new players? I think not. It sounds like a long term development plan to me. It was a fast, exciting team to watch with a nice offensive flair. Leave it at that.
