Clubs tax returns online for free. Guidestar.org is website. You can see for yourself the amount of money taken in and see how much they pay in ice fees and how much is paid out to the entire coaching staff. Even AHAI is on there!!

Payment from USAH

Payment from USAH is IL registration fees that go to USAH for admin purposes and returned to AHAI. Once again, another whiner without the facts or useful involvement other than a chat site

USA Hockey Ins cards

We use to get cards as proof of our USA hockey insurance.
A few years ago they stopped sending the cards, due to "high
cost in postage" and they raised the registration fee. The very
next week we all got a mass mailing from USA hockey to buy USA
hockey tee-shirts. Do they think we wont notice? I called
to complain and got a lame excuse.

Good luck getting paid by USA Hockey Insurance.
If you do not have a any other insurance, they might pay, but if you file your claim properly, follow-up when they do not pay, the run around turns it into a endless blame game and makes it not even worth it....But AHAI's printer and Insurance AGent still have their commissions.....(brother in law?).

But if you don't have your insurance paid for, your not going onto the Benseville Ice.

So we all need to face it AHAI is a efen joke always has been,USA hockey is a bigger joke and as long as they are both around Ill hockey will stay the same with all the BS.And as long as USA hockey cares more about the money then the Kids they will remain a joke.So no sense complaining on here unless you have a solution.

My son got a knee injury on the ice, during a game.
All forms were properly filled out. My health insurance
was limited. The USA hockey insurance wouldnt pay a dime.
All bills refused because he wasnt taken by ambulance to
the hospital.

I knew then that USA hockey is all a sham.

Yes, it is a sham, and a shame. I have a friend that had a similar situation.
Yet, if you do not pay, the AHAI Registrar will not let you play.

They are crooks and run a poor league....too bad for the kids. My one son that plays basketball is now in a travel league at 12 years old and it is run well, very competitive, no scheduling issues, and no insurance scams.

Travel basketball is a very good option and literally 10% of the price of ice hockey.
