I liked to see the kid try to skate up in the spring.

We need to know a little more info to properly make a suggestion. Not detailed info, but vague is better than nothing.

If your son is already established at a club, they probably have him pegged in a slot for next fall.If not then here are some options.

1) Talk him into either playing with a AAA minor team for Spring, or on a MM squad with another club.
a) the AAA will push his talents and give you a better idea of his potential.
b) MM at another club would also give him a push, while giving your current club something to ponder.

2) If he is content playing at the level he's at then let him do the midget minor thing.

3) Depending on what HS he is going to will dictate the need to play Spring. If it is a top 10 team than he
could try that. Its a good idea for the HS coaches to see him before tryouts.

4) If junior is not sure, but loves hockey, then pick 2 and go with it.

Good luck to you and the kid!
