The league has grown extensively recently with the inclusion of teams from across the country. The cost, travel, missed school is extreme in comparision to high school hockey including Prep. If there was a significant difference in the players coming out of that AAA system it would be one thing but coaches who are teachers, or work other jobs beyond coaching develop players who obviously are moving on at higher rates. Maybe it is time to look who is really benefitting from "professional" AAA coaches.
Also, MI has very few "professional" coaches even in AAA, as does Wisconsin and Missouri and they are placing kids at the same if not higher rates than IL.
For all the talk of placement by these "professional" hockey people the results don't match the chatter.
