There are some very good 99 AA players who would of been able to play with any 98 AAA team. They are just as good as AAA 99's who decided to take an early jump. Bottom line if you don't get the top 99 players together for this program it will be alot of coin for just an average team.(Fury & CYA 98's ????).

A Messsage from the Brick Tournament Chairman
We are pleased to announce that we have selected the Illinois Brick Hockey club, Junior Blackhawks Brick team to represent the State of Illinois for the 2009.2010,and 2011 Brick Super Novice Invitational Hockey Tournament. We have been very impressed by the leadership that the organization has shown in making their bid for a coveted spot in the tournament and we are extremely excited that the Chicago Blackhawks have pledged their support for this organization. Having a team represent us from the state of one of hockey's Original Six NHL teams is also exciting. We wish the Junior Blackhawks Brick Team all the success they deserve and we will do our best to insure that each player and team representative will have one of the most memorable times ever at our tournament in Edmonton Alberta

The Brick Super Novice Invitational Hockey Tournament, held in Edmonton, is recognized as Canada's foremost hockey tournament with distinguished alumni such as current Chicago Blackhawks Jonathan Toews, Brent Seabrook, Andrew Ladd, Cam Barker and Dustin Byfuglien.

If your child has chance to play on the Brick team , I would do it ! My son played as an import for the Connecticut team last year and it was the best time . They came in fourth , but he came home with a trophy and lots of great memories. Very nicely run tournament in Edmonton

My son did the Brick tournament in 2007 (he's a 97). It was a FANTASTIC experience for him. It truely isn't like any other tournament we've ever been to. This is a very special opportunity that only happens once in your kid's life. GO FOR IT!

Worth it ?

Yes it is worth it if you want to spend $2500 for the spring clinic that you must do with them. And then by the time you spent another $1500 going to Edmonton. You almost spent as much as you do in fall and you were not even on the ice very much. Many other spring programs for a fraction of the cost with coach's that are just as good.

Don't forget the tournament in chicag plus the tournament in Toronto. My guess is you also have to pay for those tournaments as the entry fees are not included in the initial payment
