there was a kid on the mm that was seriously injured this weekend. he was going in for a hit and lost an edge sending him head first into the boards. he was not able to catch himself as he fell. he went to the hospital and later did they realize that he had a burst fracture in c5 and a slight fracture in c3. these problems in his neck left him paralyzed from the sholders down. he could feel things in his arms but couldnt move a thing. he couldnt feel or move his legs either. he went into surgery for aprox. 3 hours where they put a cage in for c5 and made his movement in his arms and hands limited but there. he can now feel his arms and move them very slightly but showing great signs of improvment. he can feel very little on his legs but he cant identify where the feeling is coming from nor can he move his lower half. the fury mm team is going through a hard time loosing a brother friend and teamate. but his parents are going through a even harder time being faced with the possible fact that their son might never be able to play hockey or even walk again. so if you could please keep his family and the fury mm team in your prayers it would truly help.

I can't seem to find any updates on the Fury website. How is DZ doing these last few days. The hockey community is praying for this young man and his famly.

update posted yesterday. apparently dz is showing signs of improvement. he had some feeling in his legs and toes.
