Well. its come down to the last tryout. 50 players expected on the ice tonight with Mission and mostly TI cuts showing up tonight. I know I'll be there just for the amusement of the circus. Good luck to everyone.

Things are very hush hush at CYA this year. Coach is keeping his cards close. Looks like at least 5 out of staters and more to follow. I'd bet that CYA doesn't take hardly any cuts from any other AAA teams.

Since one person is making multiple posts under different names asking the same question, maybe someone should "splain" it to you. dude.

1. One sheet of ice is insufficient to run a credible AAA program.

2. Being closer to the hockey-playing population is a strategic advantage. Next to none are coming from Chicago this century and the northshore kids prefer HS to AAA since college costs in their homes are paid out of petty cash and they aspire to owning a hockey team not playing for one (of course, with some exceptions).

3. Now that Mission has moved to the southside the north and northwest are ripe for the picking.

4. He has money to refurbish CI just like he refurbished Heartland. In case you don't know, Heartland used to make CI look like the UC.

Let me splain it to you dude.

1. CYA is a joke. Always has been a joke and always will.

2. The coaching is terrible and the players are cast offs from the REAL Tier 1 organIzations. Martin Malley? LOL nice try! People see right through his "European BS" Yell loud and you must be good! What a joke!

3. If CYA has bought CI then its clearly to try and fool the Western Burb kids since the Northshore families have figured out that CYA farce.

4. Numbers down at all levels at CYA and the losing will just keep on continuing!

We are the Provisional Illinois Hockey Revolutionary Army (PIRHA). We have joined the struggle against the Tyrant Pee Dree and his unwillingness to impose mandatory registration of this message board. We are outraged by the constant and incessant slandering and bad mouthing of Illinois Hockey Players, Coaches, Organizations and even some hockey moms. Without mandatory registration the cretins of Illinois hockey will continue to impose judgments under god utilizing any and all means to embarrass young hockey players, coaches, organizations and even some hockey moms. Pee Dree began with a good intention yet his irresponsibility in maintaining the order of the system has resulting in player’s names being mentioned and coaches vilified. WE have now joined the struggle against the Tyrant Pee Dree by providing the Isalamwiththelakers hockey fundamentalist martyrs brigade several Unix softwares which generate random IP addresses attempting to block all the randomly generated ip’s is futile. Clearing the messaging and posts we leave will become a FULL TIME job, we will ensure that. The only way to stop it is to re-instate Mandatory Registration. Registration is the only way the cretins will go away.

Had CYA been playing midgets out of CI last season, a combination of geography and dissatisfaction with other clubs would have led them to win state at one of the midget levels.

How much Money can Hockey pay in this current economy?
To have two Ice sheets, that is alot of Ice to sell 12 months
a year ? Are there enough takers left. Flames gone, Addison still
very close ? More older kids leaning towards High School and working?

Flames name is gone, Addison is full. CI has the Admirals and skating school that buys most of the ice. High schools at night. When CYA moves to CI they will co-exist with Admirals much like TI and Blues.

CI was sold for $3,000,000.

Will they ditch the Olympic rink and add lockerooms underneath the stands that should go all the way to the boards? weightroom or player lounge between rinks up top? probably need to spend $$$ to dress her up. parking is tight as well.

Nobody will be shutting down TI. Flames walked out of CI with over 100000 debt with no problem. Thats why the name change, new entity, try suing the now defunct Flames for the debt.

Non-profit orgs. like TI have had to file taxes showing their board members and these are open to public review. These board members should have insurance but if they don't they can be personally sued and held liable for mishandling of funds of the non-profit.

Flames board could be sued and held responsible for their debt just as TI is being held responsible by the new administration of Bensenville.
