Still putting the roster to gether because no-one wants to play for that club. It's sad that some very good hockey players have been sucked into the "AAA" thing and are excited they are playing there. CYA always has been and will continue to be the dumping ground of AAA hockey in Illinois. Getting rid of the current management would be a huge step, then follow along with the hockey director, and then the rink. If you wanna run with the big dogs, you need to get off the porch!

Which team at CYA did your bender get cut from. Go back under the rock you crawled out from. Why don't you state your name if your such an expert about CYA. Your really a LOSER

BUT, This site tried mandatory reg. 3 times the past 8 years. The hits dropped over 75%.
1. Site is here for one reason - each "hit", the owner gets credit on monthly fees towards their other website(s)
2. 90% what read on CH is used to sway your opinion- ie. a players future/team/coaches etc.
3. One of the first things every coach tells players "stay off the chat boards, Its all garbage". (ask jr)
4. Mandatory registration cries are b/s--its no different than non-registration. By registering, the only entity to have info are owners/law enforcement.(by warrant) YOU wont see who someone is
Your computer ID is recorded, each time you visit. REGARDLESS of registration.
Facebook, Twitter, MySpace etc. all require registration. You may register as yourself, or register using an alias. If you break the guidelines, account closed. Your computer ID and/or the alias is banned. But then again, those sites are more or less not used to screw kids over.
Why or how did I end up on this hell site?
I asked a coach where to find scores for AAA games-he steered me here. He was from the Chill. Believed this junk for years, till things made little sense. Had good friends and coaches screwed here.
So, I spoke to coaches, owners, board members, to see if this site is mostly propaganda. Same answer from all. Yes.
Have a close friend who advertises on hundreds of sites. He gave me the facts as to how the money is made here.
- As a solo hockey parent, spent over 5000 hours attending games, & practices, (I don't mean dropping of junior and going to the bar till its over, like some do) was mgr for 2 years, hung with coaches, dined with NHL, NAHL, & USHL owners (all were friends of coaches that enjoyed my company) gained much knowledge of "hockey life" without trying.
sad most will never know how fake this site is.
and it is

CYA MM ROSTER IS UP. WONDER WHAT TOOK SO LONG TO COME UP WITH THAT. BY THE LOOKS OF THINGS I WOULD SAY AAA IN ILLINOIS IS ALL BUT DONE. OH WELL ITS OFF TO JUNIORS, BEST OF LUCK TO ALL & REMEMBER TO CAR POOL & SHARE HOTEL COSTS
LOOKS LIKE A LOT OF OUT OF TOWNERS CLOSE TO A 20 GRAND SEASON.

Most Practice time
Most off-ice training
Classroom/Video sessions every week
Coach played for or with last two Stanley Cup Champion coaches
Lowest fees in IL.
Great Fundraising possibilities
Less travel than other IL teams.
Oh and by the way,a very talented and deep team. The games still have to be played, but clearly CYA is the early favorite in IL. As with most people at CYA, no time will be wasted bashing your kids or your program. Don't Care! All I know is that there is much more value at CYA than anywhere else. So go ahead and reply with some ignorant comment.

They don't all travel the same. Some teams go to a bunch of extra bogus tournaments with no regard for the economy today. CYA is actually going to use their time to practice..What an idea

thought i saw about the whole month of oct on the road, blain mn to start. LA.-BOSTON-MADISON-INDY im sure im missing some, 90.00 nightly for hotel, car rental, air fare, food & drink. look im not here to bash, but now that we have moved on to juniors weather its tier 1 or 2 or 3
you will be amazed at what you dont have to spend because they dont have to pay high priced hockey directors & the travel, hotel, meals, equipment, ice time, all coverd. would have been cheaper to billet in another state & most likely had better coaching. just food for thought.

After watching and looking at the potential players from the Olympic camp, looks like IL. isn't gaining any ground on getting top American players. Three Wisconsin boys look to be locks: Pavelski,Kessel and Suter. Only Il. skater was Chelios and he was there as an on-ice coach. So tell me why Wisconsin boys would come to Il. to pay their excessive fees?
Time for a reality check. For all the money paid Illinois is failing to get kids placed at the higher levels any more than they did in the years of the Granato's, Chelios etc. Few and far between make it from Il.

in fact jr A teams are starting their season off with a one or two game series with tier 3 teams because the variance is slight. i do agree that some tier 3 teams might have a tough time with some strong MM teams but looking at the rosters in illinois i dont think that would be the case. now i think were finally seeing that illinois hockey is not what it used to be, we must break it down & re-build. good luck to all teams, we will be watching

New Jersery Hitmen, New Hampshire Monarchs, Dubuque Thunderbids & St. Louis Jr Blues to name some. There are many, many more as well. These team would kick the crap out of any AAA MM team and I mean any. These teams would even be competitive in NAHL. Do not let the Force and Tier III fool you. The Force is not your typical Tier III Jr team.

couldnt have said it better myself. its real easy to get caught up in the hype of AAA hockey during the moment, but when you finally leave and move on to the next level you will see just how much of a cash cow it really was & still is. AAA hockey at the 9-12 year old level totally not needed. keep the kids at the AA level the talent will rise. stop funding those huge salaries at the top. hd's and some coaches are living pretty good on your hard earned money and for what so you can say "my kid plays AAA". best advice is to find some good quality spring & summer showcases to go to get your looks there. when your at a AAA showcase & someone like bob turrow comes to the coach/h.d & says " who do you want me to look at from your team" and the response is "nobody" you start to question what is this all for.and the funny thing about it is a lot of those nobodys have moved on to the next level. i believe the coach/ h.d. doesnt want to loose players because guess what he will start to loose his salary, thats why you dont see too many 92's in AAA anymore. and by the way where is the MM roster for ti?

Don't you know about TI? They, as usual, have dumped the local boys who faithfully played and paid at TI for years and they are searching the country - literally coast to coast - for players to bring in to be on the MM team. Even the minor team has turned it's back on long time true bluers to take out of staters instead.

looks like a lot of top talent left TI. Minors top scorers gone.Top players off of Major team gone. Goalie from Wisconsin de-committed before season started. TI may have roughest go in recent history.

TI will be sooo better than last year. Of course they lost at bunch (who didn't) but the result is a better team. Don't forget Mission lost a bunch to the USHL. Mission lost more talent than TI did. TI retained key players from last year. D is stronger by far. G is improvement. Wisco G was part of the problem. Fs are faster than Mission and they pass the puck. May not have the hands top to bottom that Mission does but they have the grit, character and maturity. And TI does have some excellent finishers.
I wish all the Illinois teams well but don't be misled, TI will be very strong.
